These terms
These terms apply when you use the Kaziplat website and apps ("Kaziplat"). By creating an account or using Kaziplat you accept these terms and our privacy policy. If you do not accept them, please do not use Kaziplat.
What Kaziplat is
Kaziplat helps people find jobs in Tanzania, build CVs and prepare applications, and helps employers reach job seekers. Kaziplat is not an employer, recruiter or employment agency, and is not part of any job offer or contract of employment.
Your account
You must be at least 18 years old and give true, complete details, and keep them up to date. One account per person or company. Keep your password private: you are responsible for everything done with your account. If you think someone else is using it, tell us at once.
Job listings
Listings come from employers, recruiters and other third parties. We do not guarantee that a listing is genuine, current or accurate, that a job is still open, or that you will get a reply or a job. We are not responsible for what a listing says or for anything an employer does or decides. Check every job before you apply.
A real employer never asks you to pay to apply, for an interview, for training or for a medical. If one does, do not pay, and report the job to us.
Applying for jobs
Applications are sent by you, from your own email or on the employer's website. We do not apply on your behalf. You are responsible for what you send and for checking it first, including CVs and letters made with Kaziplat. Match scores and suggestions are only a guide and do not promise any result.
Your CVs and documents
Your CVs, documents and letters stay yours. You allow us to store, copy and process them as needed to run Kaziplat for you. Everything you add must be true and yours to use: do not upload forged documents, other people's documents, or false qualifications.
Comments and reports
You can comment on, vote on and report jobs. Be honest and respectful. Do not post anything false, offensive, unlawful or private about another person, or advertise anything. You remain responsible for what you post, and you allow us to show it on Kaziplat. We may hide or remove anything we consider breaks these terms.
Employers
Your listings must be real, open vacancies of your own organisation, or of a client you are allowed to recruit for. They must be lawful and free of discrimination, and you must never ask applicants for money. You allow us to publish your listings and your company name and logo. We check listings before they go live, and may refuse or remove any listing, or close any account that breaks these rules, without refunding time already used. You must handle applicants' information lawfully.
Paid plans
Paid plans are prepaid by mobile money, in Tanzanian shillings, at the price shown when you pay. They do not renew by themselves: you pay again to continue. Your mobile money provider may charge its own fees.
If a payment was taken but your plan did not start, or you were charged twice, contact us within 14 days and we will fix it or refund it. Otherwise payments are not refundable, except where the law requires. We may change prices and what plans include; a price change does not affect time you have already paid for.
Alerts and messages
We send the job alerts, emails and notifications you choose, and you can change or stop them in Settings or with the unsubscribe link in an email. We may always send messages you need about your account, security or payments. Your provider may charge for data.
What you must not do
Do not:
- give false information or pretend to be someone else;
- post fake or misleading jobs, or deceive or try to take money from anyone;
- copy content from Kaziplat in bulk or by automated means, or publish it elsewhere, without our written permission (search engines may show our public pages);
- get around plan limits or security;
- interfere with, overload or try to break into Kaziplat, or upload harmful code;
- send spam or use Kaziplat for anything unlawful.
Our rights
The Kaziplat name, logo, design, software, CV templates and other content belong to us or the people who license them to us. You may use them only to use Kaziplat. Listings belong to the people who posted them.
Other websites
Kaziplat links to employers' websites and other services we do not run. Their own terms and privacy policies apply there, and we are not responsible for them.
Our service
Kaziplat is provided "as is" and "as available". We may change, add or remove features at any time. As far as the law allows, we give no promises of any kind, including that Kaziplat will always be available, secure or free of errors, or suitable for your purpose.
Limits on our responsibility
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, including lost income, lost opportunities or lost data, or for any loss from your dealings with employers or from relying on a listing. If we are found responsible for any other loss, our total responsibility is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here removes rights the law does not allow us to remove.
Claims caused by you
You agree to cover our losses and costs if someone makes a claim against us because of what you posted or uploaded, how you used Kaziplat, or a breach of these terms or the law.
Closing or suspending an account
You can close your account at any time in Settings, and restore it within 30 days. We may suspend or close an account, or limit its use, if it breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or if the law requires it. Parts of these terms that are meant to continue, including those on our rights and our responsibility, continue after an account closes.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The new version will appear on this page with its date, and we will tell you in the app or by email about important changes. If you continue to use Kaziplat after a change applies, you accept the new terms.
Law and disputes
These terms follow the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, and disputes go to the courts of Tanzania. If you have a concern, please contact us first so we can try to settle it.
General
If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not act on a breach, we can still act later. You may not transfer your account or these terms to anyone else. We may transfer them if Kaziplat is reorganised or sold. These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about Kaziplat.
