Vacancy title: Heavy Equipment and Tractor Operator Trainer Employment type: Full time, Industry: Manufacturing, Category: Education, Farming & Outdoors, Installation, Maintenance & Repair Jobs at: TPC Ltd Deadline of this Job: Tuesday, November 10 2026 Duty Station: Kilimanjaro, Tanzania | Tanzania Summary Date Posted: Thursday, November 5 2026, Base Salary: Not Disclosed JOB DETAILS: Roles and Responsibilities • Deliver practical and theoretical training to employees on the safe and effective operation of tractors and heavy equipment. • Train operators on the use of machinery such as crawlers, excavators, graders, backhoe loaders and other relevant heavy equipment. • Develop and conduct structured training sessions covering equipment controls, operating procedures, safety precautions and routine maintenance practices. • Demonstrate correct machinery operating techniques, including equipment manoeuvring, loading, excavation, grading and field operations. • Assess trainees' practical competencies and theoretical understanding to determine their readiness to operate equipment independently. • Provide coaching, guidance and corrective feedback to trainees to improve their technical skills and operating performance. • Train operators on pre-operation inspections, identification of mechanical faults and routine equipment maintenance procedures. • Ensure all training activities comply with occupational health and safety requirements and company operating procedures. • Identify training gaps among equipment operators and recommend appropriate refresher training and skills development programmes. • Maintain accurate training records, including attendance registers, competency assessments, progress reports and operator certification documentation where applicable. • Monitor trainees during practical exercises to ensure safe equipment handling and compliance with established operating standards. • Support the development and continuous improvement of the company's equipment operator training programmes. Requirements • Technical Training Certificate in Heavy Equipment Operation; OR • Relevant technical qualification combined with substantial practical experience; OR • Internal candidates with demonstrated competence in operating company tractors and/or heavy equipment, willing and able to complete a structured Trainer Development Programme. • Practical experience operating tractors and/or heavy equipment such as crawlers, excavators, graders and backhoe loaders. • Experience in training and coaching.
