Factory Engineer Job Vacancy at Tabono Consult Limited Company: Tabono Consult Limited Job title: Factory Engineer Location: Zinga – Bagamoyo Industry: Aluminum Manufacturing About the role Our client, an aluminum manufacturing company based in Zinga, is seeking a proactive and hands-on Mechanical/Factory Engineer to oversee the operation, maintenance, and performance of its circle cutting production line. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production, maintaining machinery in good working condition, and upholding product quality standards. Key responsibilities Production operations • Operate and supervise the circle cutting production line to ensure production targets are achieved. • Monitor daily output and implement measures to improve productivity and efficiency. • Minimize production downtime and ensure smooth workflow throughout the manufacturing process. • Maintain accurate production records and report operational performance. Machine maintenance • Perform routine inspection, servicing, and maintenance of manual mechanical circle cutting machines. • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical faults and operational issues promptly. • Coordinate repairs and replacement of worn or damaged machine components. • Implement preventive maintenance schedules to improve machine reliability and reduce downtime. Quality control • Ensure finished products meet established quality standards and customer specifications. • Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for quality improvements. • Report and address quality deviations in a timely manner. Health, safety and housekeeping • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety procedures. • Promote safe machine operation and proper use of equipment. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment. Qualifications and experience • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field. • Candidates with significant hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications. • Experience operating, maintaining, or supervising manual mechanical machinery is required. • Experience with circle cutting machines, metal fabrication equipment, aluminum processing machinery, or similar manufacturing equipment will be an added advantage. • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and manage production activities effectively. Additional requirements • Must be based in Zinga or able to reliably commute to the factory location. • Willingness to work flexible hours when operational requirements demand.
